Strength From God

Psalms 28:7-8 NLT “The Lord is my strength and shield.  I trust Him with all my heart.  He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy…(8)The Lord gives His people strength…

Where do you go for strength?  Do you rely on our Lord to give you the strength to live each day as He directs?

I am asking myself that question.  At the same time I am asking God to give me strength to face life – today and in the future.

I desire physical strength to do tasks I need to do.  More than that, I desire the mental and emotional strength to put my faith and trust in God to face what lies ahead.

2 Samuel 22:33 NKJV “God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect.”

We have the assurance throughout scriptures that God is always with us.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “So be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid and do not panic before them.  For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you.  He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”    God will give us the strength to endure difficult days.  Those tough days may be from personal issues, or from the world seemingly out of control.

Isaiah 40:29 NLT  “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”  Isaiah 40:31 ”But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength…”

I feel the assurance of God, giving me courage and strength.  I am confident in His promises.  He will never fail me.  Palms 73:26 NKT “My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.”

I claim this scripture for myself!  What is your favorite scripture about The Lord's strength?

We are commanded to seek God for His strength.  1 Chronicles 16:11 NLT “Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him” and Psalms 105:4 Amp “Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, and His might]; seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually.”

When I try to produce strength on my own, I fail.  “Longing to be in His presence” is where I continually want to be to find my strength.

“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might." Ephesians 6:10 Amp

Be well, Be safe,
