God's Love vs Sin

 Good Morning Friends,

I have had many thoughts on my mind and heart today about what to write.  I believe God wants me to share about sin and God’s undying, unconditional love for everyone.

What I have experienced is that God loves us so much that when we accept Jesus as our savior and He lives in our heart, He will not leave us in our sin.  Jesus has paid the price for our sins when He died on the cross.  Romans 5:8,9 NLT “but God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (9)And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.”

We often do not fully grasp what He wants us to understand.  God is looking to affect our hearts more than our minds.  He wants to change the way our hearts feel about sinful behavior.

The question God asks of us is “Do You Love Me?”  Once we understand the depth of that question and what it means to “love our God with all our heart, soul and mind and with all our strength” (Mark 12:30) then we can’t help but want to relinquish our will for His will in our lives.

As immature Christian Believers this can be a hard truth to realize.  Fortunately for us, our God is loving and patient.  In His grace and mercy He gives us time to mature.  Ephesians 2:4,5 Amp “But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, (5)even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace~His undeserved favor and mercy~you have been saved from God’s judgment).”

As we submit more and more to His will for us, we desire to be less carnal.

Jesus’ desire is to reshape our thinking.  He speaks truth.  John 14:6a NKJV “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life….” It is His love that changes us.  When we realize and accept His unconditional love for us, is when we will go from darkness to light.

2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.”

My Prayer for us all:

“Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him.  Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. (18)And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long how high, and how deep His love is” Ephesians 3: 17,18 NLT

Love through Christ Jesus,
